I'm not sure why this photo doesn't show it as intensely as I remembered, but I don't think I've seen as much chewing gum on the ground in one place as here outside of a disco in Oxford near the train station.

Why Singapore prohibited chewing gum in public.
This is awful and makes our cobblestone pavements look dirty! Now they have a new machine to clean them in Lisbon.
